The College of Medicine Council Holds its Fourteenth Meeting for the Academic Year 2019 – 2020, via Skype program.

The College of Medicine Council (via Skype program) held its 14th meeting for the academic year 2019-2020, on Monday, 6th April 2020. The meeting was chaired by the Dean, Prof Dr Basil M. Natheer Saeed, with the presence of the Vice- Dean for Scientific Affairs (Secretary of the Council), assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim Zubeer, the Vice- Dean for Administrative Affairs, assistant Prof Dr Hazim Kh. al-Allaf, and the presence of the other members of the Council. Initially, congratulations were extended to the Head of Department of Medical Physiology, assistant Prof Dr Afra` M. al-Amin, on the occasion of her assumption of the presidency of the dept., succeeding Prof Dr Bebyeen Kh. al-Sulifani, who was retired. The College Council also thanked and praised the rapporteur of the department, lecturer Dr Raja A. Yunus, for her management of the department during the last period with competence. Then, the council reviewed the agenda, which included several axes, the most important of which is to emphasize the continuation of the academic and service activities of the community, especially through continued cooperation with the Nineveh Health Department, and to provide hospitals with doctors in various disciplines. Also, the college’s participation in the Health Security Cell in Nineveh Governorate was disclosed. Also, the final touches were fulfilled for arranging the scientific (virtual) medical seminar with the University Hospital in China, which is expected to be held in the next few days. In addition, the council hosted the Official of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division, assistant lecturer Dr Omar M. Shandala, regarding e-learning.
