The College of Medicine Council in its Emergency Meeting Discusses the College’s Needs for Graduate Degree Holders

The Council of the College of Medicine discussed the college’s needs of graduate degree holders (especially the rare specialties), which the scientific departments actually need. This occurred during the emergency meeting that was held on Wednesday, 9th June 2021. The Presidency of University had prepared lists of its actual needs within the federal budget for the current year. In student affairs, preparations for practical and clinical exams were discussed according to the university calendar in force. Some urgent topics related to postgraduate studies were also discussed. Among the recommendations that came out of the council to extend the service of the Head of the Department of Paediatrics Assistant Prof Dr Riyadh A. Al-Obaidi for a second extension.

The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the College, Prof Dr Basil M. Nathir Saeed, and in the presence of the Scientific Vice-Dean (Secretary of the Council), Assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim, and Administrative Vice-Dean, Assistant Prof Dr Hazim Kh. Al-Allaf and other members of the council.
