The Council of the College of Medicine Holds its First Meeting for the Academic Year 2020-2021

The Council of the College of Medicine held up its first meeting for the academic year 2020-2021on Wednesday, September 16th 2020. The meeting was chaired by the Dean, Prof Dr Basil M. Nathir Saeed, and in the presence of the Scientific Vice- Dean (Secretary of the Council), assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim Zubeer and the other members of the Council. Initially, it was emphasized to follow up on the attendance of associates (professors and employees). After that, the meeting courses were reviewed, the most important of which was the discussion of the admission plan for postgraduate studies for the next academic year 2021-2022, as well as the five-year plan for admission to postgraduate studies for the next five academic years. The meeting also discussed preparations for the new academic year 2020-2021, and the mechanism for applying blended learning (traditional and electronic). The Council also discussed the clinical training mechanism for the sixth phase, which will start on Thursday, October 15th 2020. The registration of a number of scientific researches has also been approved. In this regard, it is mentioned that the meeting was held in Prof Dr Taher Al-Dabbagh’s hall (not electronic), in a precedent that is the first of its kind in several months, amidst medical and health measures restricted due to the Corona pandemic.
