The Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof Dr Basil M. Nathir Saeed, attended the deans’ committee meeting online on Saturday, September 19th 2020. The committee chairman, Prof Dr Anis Khalil Nael initiated the meeting with congratulating the teaching staff and employees on the occasion of the new academic year 2020-2021. He also wished health and safety for everyone especially for the health personnel (the first front line) with Corona, calling (at the same time) Allah Almighty to have a mercy for those who perished as a result of this pandemic. After that, the meeting topics were discussed that focused on the blended learning mechanism that medical schools will follow. The meeting also dealt with the topic of the sixth phase training which will be launched on October 15th 2020, with discussion of all educational aspects and methods to ensure this part taking into account the protection of all students and professors from the threat of Corona. The books received from the ministry were also presented, and the possibility of forming committees from the deans’ committee to take care of making decisions on various topics such as curricula, writing books, and others.
