The Dean of the College of Medicine Chairs the First Periodic Meeting of the University Committee for Medical Research Ethics

The Dean of the College of Medicine Prof Dr Basil M. Natheer Saeed chaired the first periodic meeting of the University Committee for Medical Research Ethics on Sunday 5 January 2020. The meeting was held at the College of Nursing by attending the members of the committee namely, the Dean of the College of Nursing the Assistant Prof Dr Salwa H. Ghaylan, the Dean of the College of Pharmacy the Assistant Prof Dr Zina A. Abdel Majeed, Prof Dr Fakhir Y. Hussein from College of Medicine, Prof Abdel Halim M. Saleh from the College of Veterinary Medicine, Prof Dr Zina Gh. Younis from the College of Law, and the Assistant Prof Dr Manar M. Anwar from the College of Dentistry. The meeting discussed the mechanism used to study research, and giving moral approval to conduct it in all respects especially scientific and administrative. The procedures will be distributed to the concerned colleges (medical group) after approving the report by the university presidency to following them. The activation of this committee and the strengthening its work is important to achieve the scientific sobriety of the researches prepared by the university’s teaching staff to reach to the highest levels of reliability and normality that the university seeks to obtain locally, regionally, and internationally.
