The Department of Medicine conducted an electronic questionnaire for students of the third, fourth, fifth and sixth stages about e-learning and electronic examinations that were applied for the academic year 2019-2020. The questionnaire was conducted, under the supervision of the Head of the Department, Prof Dr Khaled N. El-Khayrou, for about 250 students representing the mentioned academic stages. The purpose of the questionnaire was to find out the students ’opinion about e-learning and the information gained compared to live learning as well as the electronic examination mechanism. Some proposals were also discussed with the purpose of overcoming the negatives that accompanied this unique experience with emphasising on the positive side. Regarding the extent of the benefit obtained in general, it was found that more than 76% of those who participated in the questionnaire praised the learning and electronic exams because the intended benefit had gained. Regarding the final exam, its comprehensiveness, and its clarity, more than half confirmed that it was good and the fifth confirmed it was excellent in addition to other numbers and statistics. At the end of the questionnaire, some students included their suggestions, the most important of which is that teaching in the hospital should be customized according to each of the specific body systems provided that the material being used is determined for each day to enable students to prepare for it in advance.
