The Department of Medicine Holds Two Students Seminars

In the presence of the Head of the Department of Medicine, Prof Dr Khaled N. Al-Khayrou, the department held two seminars for students of the sixth stage on Thursday, November 5th 2020 in the lecture’s hall (Clinical Departments Building). Students Muhammad Y. Muhammad, Zahra Iyad, Zahra Qusay, and Tauwbah Baban presented the first seminar entitled “Clinical Evaluation of Patients with Stroke”, under the supervision of the lecturer Dr. Bashar Sh. Mahmoud. The seminar covered most of the clinical skills in dealing with patients, with how to treat these critical cases in emergency departments. After that, the second seminar was presented by the students: Yasmine Abdel Rahman, Dalal Yassin, Mona Atallah, and Hiba Muwaffaq entitled “Bleeding Disorders”, under the supervision of the head of the department. The second seminar dealt with how to diagnose various bleeding cases and methods of treating them in the internal halls. After the presentation of each seminar, the audience was allowed to give opinions, questions and interventions. Holding these student activities are part of the academic requirements for students of the sixth year stage. Among the attendees were rapporteur Lecturer Dr Wael Th. Younis, the general teaching staff of the department, as well as the students of the aforementioned stage (the medicine group exclusively).
