College of Medicine

Under the patronage of the President of University of Mosul, Prof Dr Qusay K. Al-Ahmadi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof Dr Basil M. Nathir Saeed, the Department of Microbiology issued an AIDS awareness leaflet on December 1st 2020. Its release at this exact time coinciding with the International Day For acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) which coincides with the beginning of the mentioned month annually. It was distributed to the college units, divisions, and departments. Some of them were also sent to the university’s colleges and some schools and institutions in our dear governorate in addition to publishing them on the various electronic platforms of the college. This awareness-enhancing activity is absolutely necessary as it contributes to educating society about dangerous diseases, and in a way that enhances the role of the college and university, and confirms their important position in the service of a man and society as a whole.
