The Dean of the College of Medicine, University of Mosul, Prof Dr Basil M. Natheer Saeed presided over an electronic consultative meeting of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Mosul Medicine, on Saturday, 11th April 2020 with the presence of the Vice – President for Scientific Affairs of University of Mosul, Prof Dr Munir S. Taha. The scientific meeting was attended by the assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim Zubeer, and the chairman and members of the journal’s editorial board. At first, the scientific- vice directed that the work in the magazine to be voluntary which requires the commitment of the members. He added that the research should be sent through the journal system and not through the e-mail of the members. He also required to do an educational video for the teaching staff and residents on how to do the electronic submission in addition to creating a Facebook page for the journal. At the same time, the dean stressed the necessity to motivate and encourage the teaching staff of the college to publish in the Journal. He also indicated the necessity to direct the graduate students to publish one of the papers derived from theses and dissertations in the journal. While the scientific -vice pointed out the ability to manage the journal for the purpose of expediting the insertion of the journal into the Scopes journals and overcoming the obstacles that face this important matter. The editor-in-chief and some other members mentioned the procedures followed and the obstacles they are trying hard to overcome.
