The medical student Zahra J. Ibrahim (first stage) won the first place in the university’s chess championship for female students which was held by the Student Activities Department at the university, on Tuesday, 22nd June 2021. This win occurred after her successive victory over her competitors from the Colleges of Basic Education, Education for Girls and Science to qualify for the final match and to continue her victory over her colleague from the College of Dentistry to win the first place, leaving her the second place, while Nursing ranked third.

The tournament was held under the auspices of the President of University of Mosul, Prof Dr Qusay K. Al-Ahmadi, and in the presence of the Dean of the College of Dentistry and the Director of the Student Activities Department. In turn, the Deanship of the College of Medicine congratulated the Director of the Student Activities Division, the Lecturer Dr Muhammad Kh. Salih, and the student who won this remarkable victory in the game of thought, wishing everyone continued success in the field of classroom and non-classrooms activities together.
