The Scientific Course for Graduate Doctors of the College of Medicine Discusses the Scientific Topics the Physicians Need at the Beginning of His Career

The scientific session for physicians graduated of the College of Medicine for the academic year 2019-2020 discussed the scientific topics that the doctor needs at the beginning of his scientific and practical career, which contributes to developing the cognitive competence of the resident physician on Wednesday and Thursday, 16th -17th June 2021.

It aimed to enhance professional skills in order to provide the best medical care to the individual and society.

It concluded that continuing medical education is of great importance as it contributes to enhancing medical skills by providing scientific activities in a regular basis to discuss the most important medical developments in order to provide a high quality medical service to patients.

The course was held under the auspices of the Dean of the College, Prof Dr Basil M. Nathir Saeed. It was opened with two speeches by him and by the Scientific Vice-Dean, Assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim who welcomed the new doctors and praised the organizing body represented by the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Unit and its responsibility, the Lecturer Dr Farah S. Yahya and the importance of this scientific session.

On the first day of the course, the course consisted of two scientific sessions. The first was chaired by Assistant Prof Dr Rabie M. Al-Dabouni, while the second was headed by Prof Dr Wahda M. Tayeb. Four lectures were delivered in both sessions presented by Lecturer Dr Farah S. Yahya, and Assistant Prof Dr Raeda M. Al-Wazzan, Assistant Prof Dr Nadwa S. Al-Ezzo, and Assistant Prof Dr Omaima A. Ibrahim. The second day also included two scientific sessions. The first of which was chaired by Assistant Prof Dr Walid Gh. Al-Taie, while the second was chaired by Assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim. Four lectures were delivered in both sessions presented in turns by Assistant Prof Dr Arwa M Al-Sarraf, and Lecturer Dr Dalia A. Al-Falaki, Assistant Prof Dr Luma I. Al-Allaf, and Lecturer Dr Noha H. Al-Assaf.
