The College of Pharmacy’s Scout Team Participates in Global Entrepreneurship Week at the University of Mosul

Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Yassir Fakhry Mustafa, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, and the oversight of Assistant Lecturer Khalil Amjad Khalil, Head of the Scouting Unit, the College of Pharmacy’s scout team participated in the activities of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW). The event was held at the University of Mosul from February 8 to 12, 2026, with the active involvement of a group of the college’s students.
This participation stems from the Deanship’s commitment to supporting extracurricular activities that foster students’ skill development, refine their leadership capabilities, and enhance their spirit of initiative and teamwork. Such efforts align with the university’s strategic vision to promote a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation among the youth.
The event featured a diverse range of programs and activities focused on reinforcing entrepreneurial concepts and developing creative planning skills. Furthermore, it served as a platform for exchanging expertise among student teams from various colleges, providing pharmacy students with a distinct opportunity for proactive engagement and the acquisition of practical experiences that contribute to their academic and social growth.
This involvement underscores the College of Pharmacy’s dedication to supporting impactful student initiatives and its belief in the role of scouting activities in instilling values of responsibility, belonging, and volunteerism. These efforts not only strengthen the college’s presence in university-wide events but also contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—specifically Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth)—by fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and youth empowerment.
