The conclusion of the course entitled “Mechanisms for measuring corrosion of some alloys”

The Department of Biological Physics in our college, within its continuing education program, concluded its course entitled “Mechanisms for measuring corrosion of some alloys under different environmental conditions and surface treatments affecting corrosion resistance” on Thursday, March 3, 2022. Where Dr. (Ayman Abdul-Jabbar Ahmed) and Dr. (Mahmoud Ahmed Mohamed Fakhry) and Dr. (Rafid Ahmed Abdullah) lectured. The course included clarification of corrosion and its types such as general corrosion, which is the erosion of all parts of the metal surface at approximately the same rate. Pitted corrosion is in the form of pits or very heavy pits spread on the surface of the metal, which is one of the most dangerous types of corrosion, crack corrosion and capillary corrosion. The course also addressed the fact that corrosion is one of the important industrial problems that pose a great challenge in metals and alloys, so the course aimed to address modern electrochemical methods in measuring corrosion rates for medical alloys used in the human body. The course was attended by many lecturers and students and was accompanied by useful scientific discussions.
