๐Ÿ“Œ Faculty Member and M.Sc. Student from the Department of Biology Register Two New Types of Epstein-Barr Virus in the NCBI GenBank

As part of the scientific achievements of the College of Science, Asst. Prof. Dr. Anmar Ahmed Al-Taie and M.Sc. student (Microbiology) Ghufran Saad Mahmoud from the Department of Biology successfully registered two new types of Epstein-Barr virus in the NCBI GenBank under the accession codes (GHAN1, GHAN2) and sequence numbers (PV694194, PV694193).

These viral strains were isolated from patients with thalassemia in Mosul, Iraq.

On this occasion, the College of Science, represented by the Dean Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, extends heartfelt congratulations for this distinguished scientific accomplishment, wishing them continued progress and success.
