The Department of Earth Sciences at the College of Science, University of Mosul, discussed on Monday, August 25, 2025, the master’s thesis titled:
“Ostracoda, Biostratigraphy, and Paleoenvironment of the Shiranish Formation in Bekhair Fold – Duhok – Northern Iraq”,
presented by the graduate student Mohammed Sabri Hassan Sheikho, in the presence of faculty members and postgraduate students.

The thesis aimed to study ostracoda, their biostratigraphic significance, and paleoenvironmental aspects of the Shiranish Formation in Northern Iraq.
