The College of Science participates in the ceremony of raising the Iraqi flag at the University of Mosul

In an atmosphere brimming with national pride and belonging, the gardens of the Student Center at the University of Mosul hosted a grand ceremony to raise the Iraqi flag. The event included a symbolic release of balloons in the four colors of the flag (red, white, green, and black), adorning the university sky with the vibrant hues of the nation in a scene that embodied the highest ideals of unity, love, and peace.
This event was generously sponsored by the University of Mosul’s administration, affirming the spirit of belonging and pride in national identity within the university community. The ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University; Professor Dr. Muzahim Al-Khayyat, Head of the Parliamentary Education Committee; Major General Qutaiba Al-Jubouri, Commander of Nineveh Operations; along with members of the University Council, deans of colleges, and a large gathering of professors and students.
The College of Science played a prominent and distinguished role in this event, with its professors and students actively participating in a remarkable display that reflected their patriotic spirit and their commitment to embodying the values of belonging and loyalty to beloved Iraq. The celebration included national anthems and heartfelt speeches that deepened the sense of pride in science and the nation, and reinforced the university’s mission of building individuals and elevating society.
