Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and in line with its commitment to keeping pace with developments in higher education and engaging with global academic experiences, our college participated in the second edition of the Iraq Education Conference 2025, held at the University of Baghdad from October 11-13, 2025. The conference saw wide participation from Iraqi and international universities and prestigious international organizations such as Times Higher Education, Clarivate, Elsevier, QS, and the Egyptian Knowledge Bank.

Our college was represented at the conference by the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, along with the Editor-in-Chief of the Iraqi National Journal of Earth Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Ezz El-Din. This participation underscores our college’s active role in supporting higher education and scientific research, strengthening international academic cooperation, and aligning with its vision to enhance the quality of university education and advance scientific research.

The conference also witnessed the signing of a strategic agreement between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Clarivate Analytics to develop the capabilities of Iraqi researchers and strengthen the scientific publishing system in the country.

It is worth noting that the conference announced Iraq’s advancement to 26th place globally in terms of the number of universities participating in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026, an achievement that highlights the remarkable progress in the standing of Iraqi higher education internationally.

Our college has always been present at all scientific and academic forums and conferences.
