The Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance, in cooperation with the Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Protection Unit and the Quality Assurance Division of the College of Science, organized a workshop entitled:

“Climate Change and Its Impact on Iraq: Causes and Solutions”

with the participation of the Department of New and Renewable Energies.

The workshop lecture was delivered by Dr. Hamed Abdullah Saleh, who addressed the environmental challenges facing Iraq and discussed a range of proposed solutions to mitigate the impacts of climate change.

The event was held in Dr. Farouk Al-Omari Hall and featured productive scientific discussions and valuable contributions that emphasized the importance of adopting effective environmental policies to protect Iraq from the consequences of climate change.

At the conclusion of the workshop, participants highlighted the vital role of scientific research in serving society and addressing environmental challenges. They stressed the necessity of coordinated action by both institutions and the wider community to confront climate change before its effects further threaten the well-being of citizens and the future of coming generations.
