Because the Arabic language never withers and knows no path to aging—ever youthful and elegant like a pure-bred steed that deserves only a skilled rider—based on this meaning, and under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Wahid Al-Ibrahimi, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science – University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim Al-Ta’i, the College of Science / Student Activities Division / Cultural Activities Unit announces the launch of the literary competition “Al-Ḍād: The Spirit of Creativity.”

This distinguished literary competition opens its doors to student talents who continue to express their creativity through vibrant words—whether prose, poetry, or short stories—allowing imagination to flourish freely in crafting innovative literary works.

Competition period: From 1 to 8 March 2026

Participation Conditions:

• Submissions must be one of the following:
  • Literary reflection (Khawatir)
  • Poetry
  • Short story
• All submissions must be original student work and not copied or quoted.

Students who wish to participate are invited to contact their department representatives and submit their information to the Student Activities Division / Cultural Activities Unit.

All submissions will be evaluated by a specialized committee with expertise in literature and language studies.
