Registration of Three Bacterial Isolates in the NCBI Database

A research team from the Department of Biology, College of Science – University of Mosul, has successfully registered three bacterial isolates in the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) database as part of its ongoing academic research activities and undergraduate graduation projects.
The research work was conducted under the supervision of Professor Dr. Ghada Abdulrazzaq Mohammed, with the participation of undergraduate students (Ammar Atiyah Dhnoon, Shahd Abdulstar Ahmed, and Duha Bassam Khalil) as part of their graduation project.
The registered bacterial isolates belong to the following species:
- Agrobacterium leguminum
- Agrobacterium deltae
- Neobacillus niacini
These isolates were obtained from plant legume roots and surrounding soil, and were identified using molecular techniques based on 16S rRNA gene sequencing.
The genetic sequences were officially deposited in the GenBank database of the NCBI under the following accession numbers:
- PX872298.1
- PX962286.1
- PX962285.1
This achievement comes within the framework of academic research requirements and contributes to documenting bacterial molecular data, making it available to researchers worldwide.
