The College of Science is holding a scientific course on the Morchila fungus and its sustainable economic prospects.

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Hayam Adel Ibrahim, the Department of Life Sciences at the College of Science, as part of its continuing education activities, is holding a scientific course entitled “Morchella Mushrooms: New Horizons for Sustainable Economic Development.”
The course aims to introduce the Morchella mushroom and its biological characteristics, and to highlight its significant economic and nutritional importance for achieving sustainable development.
The course will be held at 10:00 AM on Sunday, March 29, 2026, in Hall B2 of the Department of Life Sciences.
The course lectures will be delivered by:

Assistant Professor Dr. Warqaa Saeed Qasim
Assistant Professor Dr. Jihan Muwafaq Saeed
Dr. Hiba Hadi Taha
The course fee is 5000 Iraqi Dinars.
The department head invites all faculty members, students, and interested parties to attend and actively participate due to the scientific and practical importance of the topic.
