The Council of the Department of Physics at the College of Science held a faculty meeting on Monday, 6 April 2026, chaired by the Head of the Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Samir Mahmoud Ahmed, and attended by the Department Secretary, Lecturer Dr. Huda Mohammed Munir, along with the esteemed faculty members of the department.

During the meeting, participants discussed the department’s preparations for the upcoming visit of the ministerial committee responsible for national academic accreditation, including the tasks and arrangements required to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and quality assurance requirements.

The meeting also addressed the schedules for the final practical and theoretical examinations. In consideration of the circumstances currently affecting the country and the region as a whole, discussions emphasized providing students with appropriate flexibility and support. In addition, the dates for the defense and evaluation of graduation projects for fourth-year students were determined.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the floor was opened for discussion, allowing faculty members to present their opinions, observations, and suggestions regarding the topics addressed during the session.

The Department reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a collaborative academic environment and ensuring that all necessary measures are taken to support both faculty members and students in achieving academic success.
