The Department of Renewable Energy organized a scientific workshop on the morning of Tuesday, 27 April 2026, entitled “Nanoscience: Discoveries and Applications Toward a Sustainable Future”. The workshop was held in Ibn Sina Hall at the department, with the participation of a group of academic staff, students, researchers, and specialists in the field.

The workshop addressed the definition of nanoscience and its properties, along with an overview of its wide applications in medicine, energy, and the environment. It also highlighted the most recent discoveries and advances in electronics and clean energy technologies, contributing to improved efficiency, reduced resource consumption, and the achievement of a sustainable future.

The lectures were delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Miad Salem Younis, Assistant Professor Dr. Lamia Adnan Sarsam, and Lecturer Dr. Ibtisam Yahya Abdullah, with notable interaction from the attendees.

This workshop is part of the department’s ongoing scientific activities in support of research development and the promotion of a sustainable energy culture.
