Research Paper by a College of Science Faculty Member Published in a Scopus-Indexed International Journal

The College of Science continues to achieve distinguished research accomplishments that reflect the scientific excellence of its faculty members and reinforce its active presence within the international academic community.
A research paper entitled:
“The Lateral and Vertical Variations in Petrophysical Properties of Zubair Formation in the East Baghdad Oil Field”
has been published in the Jordan Journal of Earth and Environmental Sciences (JJEES), a peer-reviewed scientific journal indexed in the international Scopus database.
This scientific achievement was accomplished by Assist. Prof. Dr. Bashar Aziz Mahmoud Al-Juraisi, a faculty member in the Department of Geology and Petroleum Sciences, College of Science, in collaboration with Assist. Prof. Dr. Ma’an Hassan Abdullah from the College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering.
The study investigated the lateral and vertical variations in the petrophysical properties of the Zubair Formation within the East Baghdad Oil Field, contributing to a deeper understanding of the reservoir characteristics of petroleum-bearing formations and supporting geological studies and applications related to the energy sector.
This publication represents a valuable addition to the scientific output of the College of Science and reflects the distinguished research efforts of its academic staff. It also contributes to enhancing the scientific reputation of the University of Mosul and strengthening its presence in reputable international journals.
