Dean of the College of Science Receives a Delegation from the Iraqi Geologists Syndicate – Nineveh Branch

Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, Dean of the College of Science, received in her office a delegation from the Iraqi Geologists Syndicate – Nineveh Branch, headed by Dr. Iman Qasim Al-Awjar, Chair of the Branch, accompanied by several members of the Syndicate’s Administrative Board, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation and coordination between academic and professional institutions.

During the meeting, both sides discussed a number of issues of mutual interest and explored mechanisms for benefiting from scientific expertise and professional specialization in supporting academic and research activities. They also examined the possibility of organizing joint scientific and training programs aimed at enhancing the skills of students and graduates and better preparing them for the labor market.

The Dean praised the important role played by professional syndicates in supporting scientific disciplines and strengthening the link between academic education and professional practice. She reaffirmed the College of Science’s commitment to establishing effective partnerships with professional organizations to further advance academic standards and scientific research.

For her part, Dr. Iman Qasim Al-Awjar, Chair of the Nineveh Branch of the Iraqi Geologists Syndicate, expressed her appreciation for the College of Science’s role in preparing highly qualified specialists. She also affirmed the Syndicate’s readiness to collaborate in implementing joint initiatives and activities that serve students and researchers while contributing to the advancement of scientific development in Nineveh Governorate.
