Dean of the College of Science Receives a Delegation from the Iraqi Red Crescent Society in Nineveh

The Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, received Dr. Osama Saadoun Rumaidh and Esraa Saleh Ahmed, volunteers from the Iraqi Red Crescent Society – Nineveh Branch, to discuss avenues for mutual cooperation and strengthening community awareness on a number of humanitarian and public health issues.
The meeting focused on efforts to promote a culture of respect and appreciation for medical and healthcare professionals, while raising awareness of the importance of protecting them from all forms of violence and abuse during the performance of their humanitarian and professional duties. The discussion emphasized the vital services these professionals provide in safeguarding public health and community well-being.
The representatives of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society also presented the Society’s key awareness campaigns and educational programs in this field, highlighting the importance of collaboration between academic institutions and community organizations to reinforce respect and support for healthcare workers and to enhance public awareness of their essential role.
For her part, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim commended the humanitarian and awareness efforts undertaken by the Iraqi Red Crescent Society, emphasizing the importance of joint cooperation in implementing programs and initiatives that serve the community and promote health and humanitarian awareness.
