As part of the College of Science’s ongoing commitment to supporting scientific research and advancing postgraduate studies, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Ahmed Hammoud, a faculty member in the Department of Physics at the College of Science, University of Mosul, participated as a member of the Ph.D. dissertation defense committee for the dissertation submitted by Ms. Maha Khalaf Hussein, entitled:

“Preparation and Study of Surface Coating Pigments from Local Materials for Reducing Solar Radiation.”

The defense took place on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the Department of Physics, College of Education for Pure Sciences, Tikrit University, in the presence of a number of faculty members and researchers specializing in the field.

The participation of the College of Science faculty members in postgraduate defense committees reflects the College’s continued commitment to supporting scientific research, contributing to the advancement of postgraduate education, and strengthening academic collaboration among Iraqi universities.
