Mr. Mudhar Mohammed Fathi Al-Jawari, a staff member of the College of Science at the University of Mosul, has been awarded a Master’s degree with Distinction from the College of Science at Tikrit University following the successful defense of his thesis entitled:

“Assessment of Groundwater Conditions Using Machine Learning Techniques in the Bardarash Valley Basin, Northern Iraq”

The thesis was defended on Wednesday, 24 June 2026.

The examination committee was chaired by Assist. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Fawzi Omar from the Remote Sensing Center, University of Mosul, and included Assist. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdul Fattah Ali and Assist. Prof. Dr. Ihab Mohammed Amin as members. Prof. Dr. Sabbar Abdullah Saleh served as both a committee member and the thesis supervisor.

The defense was attended by the Dean of the College of Science at Tikrit University, Prof. Dr. Abdulkhaliq Alwan Muhaimeed, along with a number of faculty members and postgraduate students.

At the conclusion of the defense, the examination committee unanimously awarded the researcher the Master’s degree with Distinction.

On this occasion, the Dean of the College of Science at the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, extended her sincere congratulations to Mr. Mudhar Mohammed Fathi Al-Jawari on earning his Master’s degree, wishing him continued success and further achievements throughout his academic and professional career.
