The Faculty of science recalls the twelfth anniversary of the genocide against the Yazidi component

On the third of August, the Faculty of science at the University of Mosul recalls the twelfth anniversary of the genocide committed by the terrorist organization ISIS against the children of the Yazidi component in 2014, which left thousands of victims, kidnapped and missing, and left deep humanitarian traces that are still present in the national and humanitarian memory. As the college commemorates this painful anniversary, it reverently recalls the lives of the victims, expresses its solidarity with the survivors and the families of the missing, stressing that recalling this tragedy represents a moral and national responsibility, and a message to consolidate the values of peaceful coexistence, renounce violence and extremism, and preserve human dignity and rights. The Faculty of Science also renews its call to continue efforts aimed at revealing the fate of the missing, redressing the survivors, supporting the reconstruction of the affected areas, and creating appropriate conditions for the return of their people to their homes in security and stability. Mercy and immortality for the souls of the victims, healing for the survivors, and that this memory remains a witness to the importance of consolidating peace and justice, and preventing the recurrence of such crimes against humanity.
