A teacher from our college chairs the master’s thesis discussion Committee at the College of education for pure sciences

Within the framework of promoting scientific research and exchange of academic experiences between the faculties of the University, professor Dr. Laith Ahmed Najm, a lecturer at the Physics Department of the Faculty of Science – University of Mosul, chaired the committee to discuss the master thesis tagged “the effect of different laser patterns on the lengths of alpha particles in the CR-39 nuclear trace detector” by master student Mohammed Omar Farouk from the physics department at the Faculty of education for pure sciences at the University of Mosul, on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. The thesis dealt with the study of the influence of different laser patterns on the recording properties and the lengths of the alpha particle trajectories inside the solid-state nuclear trace detector (CR-39), which contributes to the development of the efficiency of nuclear detectors and their physiological and environmental applications. The discussion took place in a sober scientific atmosphere in the presence of a group of specialized professors, where the research themes of the thesis were reviewed and discussed in depth, and resulted in its approval after meeting all the approved scientific requirements. This participation comes to emphasize the distinguished and effective scientific presence of the Faculty of science teachers in supporting the March of graduate studies and research innovation within the University. We wish our esteemed faculty members and professors continued success and success.
