Summer training starts for students of the physics department at the Faculty of science

The College of Science – University of Mosul has launched summer training for students of the physics department, as part of training programs aimed at enhancing the applied aspect of students and linking their academic knowledge with practical experiences in institutions and sites related to their specialization. The training program included a field visit to the Mansour gas power plant, where students were briefed on the nature of the plant’s operation and the mechanism of generating electric power, and learned about a number of technical and applied aspects related to energy and electrical systems. The training activities also included a visit to the Nineveh environment directorate, with the aim of introducing students to the Directorate’s tasks in the field of environmental monitoring and monitoring environmental indicators, and identifying practical applications related to environmental measurements and monitoring. This training comes within the keenness of the Faculty of science to provide an educational environment that combines theoretical knowledge and practical application, and contributes to the development of students ‘ skills and prepare them for the requirements of the labor market and professional fields related to the specialty of physics.
