In line with the start of the new academic year 2026-2027, the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science – University of Mosul held a meeting of the faculty, headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Firas Ahmed dhanon, head of the department, in the presence of the Department’s rapporteurs, on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. The meeting discussed the preparations for the start of the new academic year, and the emphasis on adherence to the directives of the Ministry of higher education and scientific research regarding the updating of curricula and curricula for students of primary and higher studies, as well as the organization of study schedules and the distribution of courses and the preparation of halls and laboratories to enhance the practical and applied aspect of students. The meeting also addressed the instructions of the university presidency and the Deanship of the faculty on evaluating the performance of teachers in accordance with the quarterly system and the Bologna track system, and urged the teaching staff to promote Scientific Dissemination in international capacities, participate in scientific and extra-curricular activities and events, and programs that contribute to community service.
