Scientific workshop on the mechanisms of detection of nanostructures using modern technologies

The Department of physics at the Faculty of Science – University of Mosul, on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, organized a scientific workshop entitled “mechanisms for detecting nanostructures using modern technologies”, as part of continuing education activities, in the presence of a number of department teachers and students. The workshop was presented by Abdul Khaliq Ayoub Suleiman, Dr. Haitham Abdul Hamid Ahmed, assistant teacher Nadia Adel said, and assistant teacher Farah Nazim, reviewing the recent developments in nanostructure detection techniques and their role in determining the physical and chemical properties of nanomaterials, which opens up wide horizons for their applications in the medical, industrial and agricultural fields. The workshop dealt with the most prominent techniques used in the characterization of nanomaterials and the detection of their properties, including atomic force microscope, scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscope, and X-ray diffraction technology, with the importance of these techniques in the study of microstructures and analysis of their properties. This workshop is part of the scientific activities of the physics department aimed at enhancing knowledge of modern technologies and their applications, and keeping abreast of scientific developments in the field of Nanoscience. Our wishes to the teachers and students of the Faculty of Science full-time success, excellence and scientific giving. Government information and Communication Division
