College of Science

The University of Mosul ranked first among Iraqi universities, and the College of Science ranked first among the University of Mosul colleges, jointly with the College of Veterinary Medicine, with (5 prizes) in the Science Day 2022 competition announced by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The College of Science won five awards distributed to various categories in the competition as follows:1- Distinguished Patents and Intellectual Property Award:- The first place (publication year, 2020) went to Prof. Dr. Amira Mahmoud Muhammad Al-Rawi from the Department of Biology.- The second place (publication year, 2021) was won by Dr. Ahmed Mounir Suhail from the Department of Physics.1- Distinguished Author or Translator Book Award:-The first place (publication year, 2020) was won by Prof. Dr. Rabah Ali Khalil from the Department of Chemistry.- The first place (publication year, 2021) was won by Dr. Mahmoud Zaki Suleiman Al-Hasso/Assistant Professor from the Department of Medical Physics.- The third place (publication year, 2021) was obtained by Prof. Dr. Zina Abdel Moneim Al-Jawadi from the Department of Chemistry.In turn, the family of the College of Science, represented by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Hayam Adel Ibrahim, extends its warmest congratulations to the distinguished members of our college who had a distinguished presence in scientific research at the level of Iraqi universities, wishing them all the best in serving our country.
