Trying strenuous efforts to apply the latest scientific curricula that combine the basics and continuous development to serve the community and excellence in spreading knowledge in the fields of Biology, Botany, Zoology and Microbiology to obtain high levels of performance for department members and students.

Mission
Our mission includes updating and disseminating information in the various fields, such as  Biology,Botany, Zoology and Microbiology, and making efforts to refine the talents of students and develop their capabilities. This will lead to equipping graduates with professional experiences that make them enjoy good opportunities locally and internationally.

Objectives
1- Studying comprehensively biological sciences and their applications and uses in society from both theoretical and scientific aspects.
2-  Preparing scientific personnels at the primary and higher levels to work in the medical, health, pharmaceutical, oil and agricultural fields.
3- Students will acquire academic and applied information about biological sciences and their various directions and specialties.
4- Researching and studying every new trend in Biological Sciences and keeping pace with the scientific developments in this field. Also, incorporate this development into prescribed curricula.
