College of Science

As part of the University of Mosul’s commitment to community engagement and its continuous efforts to enhance the efficiency of staff in relevant government sectors, the Department of Chemistry at the College of Science organized a training course entitled:
“Modern Chemical Methods in the Production and Separation of Petroleum Derivatives.”

This course, held under the framework of continuing education activities, witnessed active participation from staff members of the Western Commission – Nineveh Branch of the Oil Products Distribution Company.

The program included specialized scientific lectures delivered by a group of the department’s faculty, focusing on the latest techniques and advancements in the field of petroleum derivative production and separation.

This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly:
✅ Goal 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth
✅ Goal 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production
✅ Goal 17 – Partnerships for the Goals

The course concluded with an assessment test for participants, followed by the awarding of participation certificates by the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Al-Taii, who commended the participants for their engagement and contributions to the success of the course.
