Life Sciences Department Hosts Graduate Student Seminars

As part of the seminar program in the Department of Life Sciences, the following presentations were delivered:

  • Ph.D. student Marwa Badr Faleh presented a seminar on her dissertation entitled:
    “The Effect of Physical Mutagenesis on the Production of L-Asparaginase Enzyme from Some Locally Isolated Yeasts and the Study of Some of Its Biological Applications”
    Supervised by Prof. Dr. Amjad Abdulhadi Mohammed and Asst. Prof. Dr. Badia Abdulrazaq Mulla Ubaida.

  • Ph.D. student Mahmoud Nafi Mahmoud Shihab presented his dissertation entitled:
    “Immunological and Molecular Diagnosis of Acute Respiratory Infection in Children and Adults”
    Supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Anmar Ahmed Al-Ta’i.

  • M.Sc. student Jumana Abduljabbar Ahmed presented her thesis entitled:
    “Physical Induction of the TPS Gene Responsible for the Formation of Thymol Compound in Thymus vulgaris Plant Tissues and the Measurement of Its Oil Content”
    Supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Rana Tareq Yahya.

The seminar was held on the morning of Tuesday, August 5, 2025, in the Dr. Mahmoud Al-Haj Qasim Hall, and was attended by a number of faculty members and postgraduate students from the department.
