College of Science

The Department of Biology at the College of Science, University of Mosul, discussed a PhD dissertation entitled:
“Immunological and Molecular Diagnosis of Acute Respiratory Tract Infection in Children and Adults”
on Monday, August 11, 2025.

The defense was chaired by Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, Dean of the College, and attended by the Head of the Biology Department along with several faculty members.

The study, conducted by Mahmood Nafe’ Mahmood Shehab from the Microbiology Branch, aimed to investigate advanced diagnostic approaches for acute respiratory infections across different age groups.
