Master’s Thesis Defense – Department of Earth Sciences, College of Science, University of Mosul
The Department of Earth Sciences at the College of Science, University of Mosul, held the defense of the master’s thesis entitled:
“Microfacies and Stratigraphic Position of the Akrrah Formation – Upper Cretaceous – in the Gara Fold, Northern Iraq”
presented by Mohammed Hazem Awn Al-Din Saleh on Sunday, September 7, 2025, in the presence of the Head of Department, Prof. Dr. Omar Ahmed Mawlood, several faculty members, and graduate students.
The thesis aimed to investigate the microfacies and stratigraphic position of the Akrrah Formation to provide insights into its geological characteristics and regional significance.
