In line with the start of the new academic year, the Department of Biology held a meeting chaired by Prof. Dr. Amjad Abdul Hadi Mohammed, head of the department, and in the presence of the Department’s rapporteurs Prof. Dr. Hadeel Ahmed al-Amiri and Assistant Prof. Dr. Alaa Hussein Ali, on Monday, September 15, 2025.

During the meeting, the preparations for the reception of the academic year 2025-2026 were discussed, and the emphasis was placed on compliance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education regarding the updating of curricula and courses for students of primary and higher studies. The meeting also dealt with the organization of study schedules, the distribution of courses, and the preparation of halls and laboratories to ensure the enhancement of the practical side of students.

The discussions also focused on the instructions of the university presidency and the Deanship of the faculty on evaluating the performance of teachers according to the semester system and the Bologna track system, as well as urging the staff to publish research in international capacities, participate in scientific and extra-curricular activities, as well as events that serve the community.
