College of Science

The dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, received in her office today, Assistant Professor Dr. Ammar Essam Idris, associate dean of the Technical College – Zakho/ Technical University of Duhok, and Dr. Abdul Rahman Ahmed Qasim from the Department of Geology Sciences/ University of Duhok.

During the meeting, they discussed the importance of exchanging teachers ‘ experiences in order to strengthen scientific and academic ties between the two colleges, in addition to discussing international programs and grants launched by universities and reputable international institutions and mechanisms of communication with them, which contributes to the development of the college’s laboratories and upgrading the capabilities of teaching staff, as well as opening new horizons for graduate students to complete their research projects outside the country.

At the end of the visit, Dr. Ammar Essam Idris presented a commemorative shield to the honorable Mrs. Dean, who in turn awarded two letters of thanks and appreciation to the generous guests in recognition of their efforts in strengthening the ties of joint cooperation between the two sides.

The meeting was attended by the administrative assistant of the College of science, assistant professor Dr. Omar Adel Sharif, the head of the Department of Geology and petroleum sciences, prof. Dr. Omar Ahmed moloud, and the chairman of the promotions committee at the college, prof. Dr. Zaid Abdul Wahab Malik.

This visit confirms the depth of scientific relations between Iraqi universities, and the keenness of the Faculty of Science/ University of Mosul to extend the bridges of academic cooperation to serve the scientific research process and enhance its solid position in the academic community.
