The College of science is present on the national job day and a distinguished honor for its professors

Under the patronage and presence of the prime minister, Mr. Mohammed Shaya al-Sudani, the National Job Day ceremony was held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, which was approved by the government as an annual event organized in all governorates of Iraq, celebrating distinguished employees and owners of stories of sacrifice, creativity and success.

The ceremony witnessed the honoring of a number of distinguished employees at the level of state institutions, including from the College of Science / University of Mosul: prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, dean of the college, and assistant professor Dr. Ahmed Munir Suhail, head of the Department of new and renewable energies, in recognition of their outstanding academic and administrative giving and the embodiment of the authentic functional values emphasized by the government in its vision of administrative, financial and economic reform.

What has been achieved and honored in this national forum would not have seen the light without the great support of our beloved University – the University of Mosul, led by its president, Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Brahimi, who represented a key pillar in supporting the College of Science and sponsoring its scientific and administrative career. His continuous support has been a torch of confidence and a lever for success, confirming that the university is an incubator of creativity and a field in which the values of loyalty and excellence are embodied at the level of the whole of Iraq.

This honor reflects the pride of the College of Science in its academic and administrative cadres and the spirit of sincerity and dedication that distinguishes them, and also represents a motivation to continue the March of giving and excellence in service of the mission of our ancient university and the embodiment of our national responsibility in building a prosperous Iraq based on science, knowledge and seriousness in work.
