The College of science embodies its humanitarian mission in the Madrasati initiative to support education and to care for orphans and the needy

Based on our lofty educational and humanitarian mission in building a conscious and educated generation and in response to the Madrasati initiative launched by His Excellency the minister of higher education and scientific research, prof. Dr. Naim Yasser al-Aboudi, aiming to unify national efforts in supporting orphaned and needy children in government schools, under the auspices of the president of Mosul University, prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Ibrahim, and under the supervision of the dean of the College of science, Mrs. Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, the volunteer work unit in the Student Activities Department at the College organized this initiative in cooperation with the volunteer work Division in the General Directorate of Nineveh education.
The initiative’s activities were held at the Hafsa school for girls on the right side of Mosul, in the presence of the assistant dean for administrative affairs, assistant prof. Dr. Omar Adel Sharif, as they included the distribution of school bags and stationery to orphaned and needy students on the occasion of the start of the new academic year to create a small part of the atmosphere that they should enjoy as students
