College of Science

Based on the keenness of the College of science at the University of Mosul to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation between Iraqi universities, Prof. Dr. Zahra Muhammad Ali Ahmed hammudat (Department of Chemistry – College of Science / University of Mosul) chaired the doctoral dissertation discussion Committee for the student Raghad fares Hadi Al-Khazraji from the College of Medicine / University of Babylon, tagged:

“Study the diagnostic value of Irisin, Ghrelin and their correlation with Troponin I among patients with acute coronary syndrome in Babylon governorate.”

The discussion was held on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at the College of Medicine – University of Babylon, in the presence of the dean of the college and a number of professors and researchers.

The dissertation dealt with the study of the diagnostic value of the hormones irisin and Kerlin, the level of vitamin D and their relationship with the Troponin I index in patients with acute coronary syndrome, and the results showed the possibility of their adoption as auxiliary indicators in diagnosis and predicting the degree of severity.

At the end of the discussion, the Deanship of the College of Medicine / University of Babylon presented a letter of thanks and appreciation to Prof. Dr. In recognition of her scientific efforts and her active participation, Zahra quoted Prof. Dr. Zahra greetings dean of the College of Science Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim presented a book of thanks to Prof. Dr. Mufid Jalil Awad in support of academic cooperation between universities.
