Workshop entitled The role of inorganic chemistry in modern methods of separation of petroleum derivatives

Under the patronage of the blessing of the president of the University of Mosul, prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Brahimi, and the supervision of the dean of the College of science, prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, and the follow-up of the head of the Department of chemistry, prof. Dr. Salam Jassem, and within the continuing education programs, a workshop entitled” The role of inorganic chemistry in the meeting on the separation of oil derivatives” on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, delivered by Prof. Dr. Amar Abdul Sattar and Assistant Prof. Dr. Khansa is thankful for Grace and L. Dr. It was donated by Farouk Mohammed Amin, and attended by a number of teachers of the Department.

The workshop dealt with the main role of inorganic chemistry in the development of modern methods for the extraction and separation of petroleum derivatives, through the use of catalysts and inorganic materials such as metals and zeolites to improve the efficiency of cracking, remove impurities and raise the quality of products. They also contribute to the creation of nanomaterials and inorganic filters that help to accurately separate hydrocarbons and reduce contaminants, making operations more efficient and safer.

Our wishes are to teach full-time in a way that serves the community and spreads science and benefits it.
