Workshop entitled ” from gasoline to polymers: a journey into the heart of aromatics “
Under the auspices of the blessing of the president of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Brahimi, and under the supervision and follow – up of the dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, in cooperation with the presidency of the University of Mosul / Department of studies and Planning-Sustainable Development Unit, and under the follow-up of the head of the Department of New and Renewable Energies, assistant prof. Dr. Ahmed Munir Suhail, a scientific workshop was held on Monday, November 24, 2025 at Ibn Sina Hall in the Department.
Presented by L. Dr. Falaknaz Rashid Kader and Assistant L. Inas Abdulkader Hassan and Assistant L. Marwa Talal Mahmoud.
The workshop dealt with a simple introduction about aromatic polymers, the most famous of which is benzene, their definition, composition and biological types, in addition to their properties, functions and industrial and environmental applications, and concluded with the study of the green future of aromatic polymers, as they are the cornerstone in organic chemistry and modern industries.
Our wishes are to teach full-time in a way that serves the community and helps to use the types of science to sustain life.
