Awareness-raising scientific workshop entitled ” scientific strategies for the Prevention of osteoporosis in women “
As part of its scientific and awareness-raising activities, the College of Science held an awareness-raising scientific workshop entitled ” scientific strategies for the Prevention of osteoporosis in women ” under the auspices of the president of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Brahimi, and under the supervision of the dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Taie, in cooperation with the Central Library at the University of Mosul, the Education Center, and the women’s affairs unit.
The workshop was held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at the building of the Central Library – University of Mosul, and was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Saba Zaki Mahmoud, teaching at the College of Science / Department of chemistry.
The workshop dealt with the definition of osteoporosis, the most prominent causes, and ways to prevent it, emphasizing the importance of early health awareness and its effective role in reducing the spread of the disease, especially among women.
The workshop was attended by a distinguished presence and positive interaction by the participants.
In conclusion, the Deanship of the College of science wishes the continuation of scientific and academic excellence for its teaching.
