Under the patronage of the president of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Brahimi, and under the supervision of the dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim al – Taie, and in cooperation with the presidency of the University of Mosul-Department of studies and Planning /Sustainable Development Unit. Following the head of the Department of new and renewable energies, assistant professor Dr. Ahmed Mounir Suhail, the Department of new and renewable energies at the College of science organized a scientific workshop entitled “studying the factors affecting the properties of thin films of semiconductors prepared by the chemical spraying method “.

The workshop was held on Monday morning, December 15, 2025 at the Avicenna Hall in the Department.

The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Mounir Suhail, assistant professor Dr. Mohammed Mahmoud Younis, teacher Dr. Nadia Adel and assistant researcher of energies Safa Fahd Abbas.

The workshop included the factors affecting the thin films of semiconductors by chemical spraying, where it discussed the main factors affecting the properties of membranes such as:

– Concentration of the solution .

– Spray temperature .

– Duration of spraying .

– The type of gas used .

– The distance between the nozzle and the target .

– Atmospheric pressure .

The workshop highlighted the importance of controlling these factors to improve the quality of semiconductor thin films and their applications in the electronic and energy industries.
