In the framework of supporting student participation and enhancing the spirit of academic responsibility, the Department of Biology sciences at the College of Science / University of Mosul conducted on Sunday morning, December 28, 2025, the process of electing the representative of the students of the first stage of the evening study, in the presence and direct supervision of the head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Amjad Abdul Hadi Mohammed, the rapporteurs of the Department, Prof. Dr. Hadeel Ahmed Amiri, Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Hussein Ali, and with the wide participation of the students of the first stage.

The election process took place in a transparent democratic atmosphere that reflected the level of awareness and discipline among students, and the voting results resulted in the selection of student Mohamed Saleh as a representative of the students of the first stage of evening study in the Department.

In his speech on this occasion, the head of the department stressed the importance of the role played by the student representative as an effective link between the department and the students, pointing out that this responsibility requires commitment, discipline and the ability to communicate the opinions and suggestions of students in a positive and responsible spirit, as well as active participation in the activities of the department to contribute to supporting the academic process and enhancing the environment of cooperation and mutual respect.

At the end of the event, the head of the department extended her congratulations to the elected student, wishing him continued success in performing his duties in order to achieve the students ‘ interest and contribute to the educational process.
