Master thesis discusses the relationship between the type III secretory system and resistance to Pseudomonas aeruginosa

The Department of Biology sciences at the College of Science / University of Mosul discussed the master thesis tagged ” investigating the relationship between the presence of the secretory system of the third type and resistance in Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria isolated from clinical sources ” on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
The thesis, submitted by student Vian Omar Murad Ahmed from the microbiology branch, included an analytical study of the relationship between the presence of the type III secretory system and antibiotic resistance in Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria isolated from clinical sources in the city of Mosul. The study included the isolation, diagnosis and development of bacterial isolates, conducting the necessary biochemical tests.
The dissertation also dealt with the investigation of genes of the secretory system of the third type, antibiotic resistance genes, the study of the production of betalactamase enzymes of various types, as well as determining the relationship between virulence factors, antibiotic resistance and the presence of genes of the secretory system of the third type. The study adopted the use of some dietary supplements to inhibit bacterial strains outwardly, in addition to inhibiting the production of the enzyme hemolysin, as the results showed the effectiveness of these supplements in reducing the growth of strains and reducing the production of hemolytic enzyme.
